Sixth Form parent forum

The Sixth Form parent forum is a group of parents who meet regularly with the Director of Sixth Form to discuss plans for Sixth Form developments and to give feedback on how the Sixth Form is working. They have met monthly during the implementation phase but it is anticipated that meetings will become half termly once the Sixth Form is established, ie from Christmas 2009.

The Forum has a dedicated group of founder members and is keen involve any parents of Sixth Form students who would be interested in supporting the development of the Sixth Form.

The Forum has a convener who draws up the agenda and publishes minutes of each meeting. Over the course of the last year the parents have discussed proposals and helped guide the Sixth Form in the development of:

1) The Curriculum
2) Policy on Educational Visits
3) Policy on Homework
4) Reporting
5) Admissions Requirements
6) The Pastoral System
7) Parental Evaluation and Feedback Systems

Dates of meetings for the next academic year:

26th January, 2010
16th March, 2010
4th May, 2010

Meetings take place from 6-7pm
