Enrichment
There are a wide range of optional enrichment activities and clubs for students to become involved in at lunchtimes and after lessons including Art, Dance, Drama, ICT, Languages, Music and Sports. In addition Sixth Form students do not have timetabled lessons on a Wednesday afternoon, when all students take part in enrichment activities. A full list of available activities is provided for students each term. Those students who are working towards their IB qualification will be able to meet some of the requirements of CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) through their involvement in the enrichment programme. It is expected that all students will take part in a number of different activities or projects during their time in the Sixth Form. They keep a record of what they have done, monitored by their tutor. This proves invaluable when writing personal statements for university applications and when applying for jobs.
Volunteer and Charity Work
Many students take part in some form of community work or charity fund raising project.

Sports
There are a variety of sports activities on offer on Wednesday afternoons including Football and netball teams. Students also have the opportunity to work towards their Sports Leader’s Award.
Year 7 Programme
Many students choose to spend time working alongside staff in a variety of different curriculum areas, planning and delivering a programme devised specifically for Year 7. This enables students to gain real insight into how the curriculum is planned, to work with younger students and to develop their leadership skills.
Duke of Edinburgh Programme
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Programme aims to help young people to plan and undertake their own programme of activities to develop mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Students organise and participate in a range of expeditions, learn new skills, explore their cultural heritage and assist people within the community.
