Progression to university - admissions tests for competitive courses

Progression to university - admissions tests for competitive courses

Highly competitive universities increasingly have admissions tests e.g. Oxford, Cambridge and some international universities. There is also an increasing requirement for students to take tests for competitive specialist courses such as the BMAT (Biomedical Admissions Test) for Medicine and STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper - for competitive Maths courses) as well as attending university interviews.

Students considering applying to universities abroad should make this clear on application to the sixth form, as specific entry requirements may apply. For advice about admissions tests and progression please contact Mr Miller at robin.miller@braintreesixthform.com.
