On Thursday 19 June, all Year 12 students participated in a UCAS ‘launch day’. The purpose of the day was to introduce all aspects of the university admissions system and to give students the opportunity to register with UCAS and begin their applications.
Students participated in a series of workshops covering the application process, student finance, student life and advice on writing a personal statement. Guest presenters from Anglia Ruskin University, University of Essex and whatuni.com joined BSF staff in delivering the workshop sessions.
BSF alumni James Wood, James Pickering and Tim Portway also returned for the day to assist with workshops and to share their own experiences of university. The day was busy and productive and students left feeling well informed about the application process and ready to begin making their own choices about their future destinations.
